Data collection

ConsolePatch does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data, browsing history, website content, download contents, or analytics.

Data stored on the device

The extension stores its enabled state, rule preferences, optional custom rules, repair count, and repair history through Chrome extension storage. A history entry contains the original filename, corrected filename, rule description, and time of repair. Free history is limited to 10 entries; Pro history is limited to 500 entries. Users can clear it at any time.

If a user activates Pro, the license key, instance identifier, activation status, and last validation time are stored in extension storage. Activation and validation send the key and an extension instance name to Lemon Squeezy. ConsolePatch never receives payment-card details.

Permissions

• Downloads: observes a download while Chrome determines its filename and suggests a corrected name when a high-confidence rule matches. ConsolePatch does not read downloaded file contents.
• Storage: saves local settings, history, and optional license status.
• Optional api.lemonsqueezy.com access: requested only when a user chooses to activate Pro and used only for license activation, validation, and deactivation.

Retention and control

Settings and history remain in the Chrome profile until they are cleared or the extension is removed. A user can pause filename repairs, clear history, export or delete custom rules, deactivate Pro, or uninstall the extension at any time.
